Where does AI genuinely add value? What can you rely on? What needs checking? What should you hand over - and what should remain yours?
Building that judgement takes ongoing practice, and there's always something more urgent. Without other experienced people to compare notes with, it can be hard to know what is worth trying next or where your own assumptions need another look.
The Room gives you a regular space to work through those questions with Sue and peers from other organisations. Bring what you're trying, what you're noticing and what you haven't yet worked out.
Move beyond familiar uses, explore AI on more substantive work and deepen your firsthand experience.
Examine what to trust, what to verify, where the risks sit and what should remain human.
Clarify the choices and boundaries that guide how you work with AI - a position you can explain, apply and lead from.
A brief, considered view from Sue of one or two AI developments relevant to your work. What has changed, why it matters and what deserves attention - usually under ten minutes.
Compare what people are actually trying, noticing and learning. What is working, what isn't, and what questions are they still working through?
Work through a real leadership or governance situation together. Test where AI adds value, what needs scrutiny and what should remain human. Bring a situation from your work, or explore a case Sue brings.
Leave with useful questions, ideas or experiments for your own work. We close by hearing one insight, question or practice each person is taking away.
The aim is to make AI part of how you work, think and lead - with stronger judgement about when to use it, how far to trust it and where to draw the boundaries.
This Room is for executives and board directors already using AI in their work. The six-week AI Leadership Circle is another way to build your practice if you're still getting started.
We share experience without bringing confidential client, staff or board information into the discussion.
I'm asking prospective members to choose between two monthly options:
Both are Melbourne time (AEST or AEDT, depending on the season). The first February dates would be Monday 8 February or Wednesday 17 February 2027.
Your preference will help shape the schedule. Requesting a place doesn't commit you to joining. I'll confirm the timing, fee and arrangements before you decide.
