Build the capability to govern AI.
Assess where the board stands, build judgement together or work one-to-one. Each can stand alone. We work out where to start from the questions you need to resolve.

Your board needs to judge how AI affects the organisation’s direction, its people and its risks - and whether management’s response is adequate. That requires more than receiving an update.
For APRA-regulated organisations, the 30 April 2026 letter sets expectations for board understanding, challenge and oversight. The 27 August APRA–ASIC roundtable insights reinforce the need to turn frontier AI risk awareness into tested governance and practical preparedness. That paper focuses on cyber and operational resilience.

Questions
How can our board build the capability to govern AI?
Build firsthand understanding and connect it to the decisions your board must oversee. The AI Governance Circle combines experience, discussion and strategic questions about value, risk, accountability and assurance.
If you need a clearer starting picture, the Board AI Snapshot asks each board director about their own capability, as well as their view of the board's collective capability. It shows where views align, where they differ and where to focus. You can start with either piece of work.
How can I build my own AI judgement as a board director?
By exploring AI on your own work and discussing what you find. You might stress-test a paper, interrogate its framing or draft questions - then check what AI has produced and compare your experience with peers. Use material you are authorised to share, or a de-identified example.
Firsthand experience and reflection help you understand what to question, what to verify and how to judge the answers management gives you. The AI Governance Circle builds that with your board. Private AI Advisory works with you one-to-one on your own responsibilities.
Is the work confidential?
Yes. Private AI Advisory is a confidential one-to-one engagement. In the AI Governance Circle, we agree how participants will protect what is shared, what will be reported and whether anything will be recorded. Any recording requires prior consent. We also agree how sensitive information will be handled, including any use of AI tools.

What would help you govern AI well?
Bring the questions you are facing - for your board or in your own role. We'll work out where support would be most useful and the next step that fits.
